The Last Bitcoin Cycle?

One of the fundamental parts of our investing platform has been the 4 year Bitcoin cycle. But the nature of this cycle has been changing, and one analyst predicts this is the last ever Bitcoin cycle. Our understanding of the cycle has significant bearing on our investment and trading activity. So, this topic is important as it relates to our success with crypto. Here are the talking points we cover:

  • Reviewing the historical 4 year cycle for BTC
  • Change the Buyer, Change the Market
  • Willy Woo’s “The Last Cycle” proposal
  • “What if” scenario for approaching the market if Willy Woo is right

Hey guys thank you so much for the common sense explanations you’re giving to help people understand this whole crypto currency industry. Correct me if I’m wrong it seems like your comparison of bitcoin is crypto but crypto is not bitcoin would be like saying IBM is a stock but IBM is not the stock market. Am I understanding?

Thanks so much for the feedback and the question. The statement you mentioned is really meant to land the point that while BTC is a cryptocurrency, none of the other cryptocurrencies are designed to solve the problems that Bitcoin was designed to solve. Our concern is that when people hear things about Bitcoin, they assume it applies to all of crypto, or when they hear things about crypto, they assume those also apply fully to Bitcoin. The big idea is that Bitcoin is unique within the crypto space, and should be treated uniquely.
